Welded Hat
I’m calling this little number ‘The Welded Hat’ for the decrease ridges along the crown that make it look like the hat is welded together at the crown panels. It’s really cool and a little different. I also really love the fit and the heft of the yarn. The Merino Aran yarn (shown in the ‘Rattan’ colorway) is chunky, but not bulky, the brim is knit a bit more tightly to give the hat a good, snug feel, and the hat itself is longish, so even if you have the brim folded, you can get a little slouchy. I love it and know I’ll be throwing it on quite often this season. Enjoy!

PATTERN NOTES
If you plan on folding the brim and would like additional allowance for a slouchy look with the brim folded, budget for additional yardage (which may require an additional skein if you are using the suggested yarn) and knit the hat an additional two inches before beginning the crown decreases.
